MinamiCon is the longest-running Anime and Japanese culture convention in the UK, entirely run for fans by fans. It features a packed schedule of events, workshops, panels, games, and a Masquerade.

The convention is held at the Novotel Hotel, with most event rooms located on the ground floor and the 5th floor. The Games Room is located at the ibis Hotel, near the entrance of the Novotel Hotel.
The Dealers' Room includes a mix of dealers with commercial companies and fan artists, offering merchandise, DVDs, model kits, Japanese snacks, drinks, and custom artwork. There is also a Bring & Buy and a charity auction.
The masquerade is a significant event, with entries opening closer to the convention date. Participants can enter before midnight on the Friday night of the con, with various prizes available.

The gaming area features actual game machines and consoles, with quizzes and puzzles throughout the weekend.
MinamiCon offers a variety of panels and workshops, including Gundam Speed Building, cooking lessons, sake tasting, and art and cosplay workshops.
MinamiCon has raised significant funds for charity, including £1,700 at MinamiCon 31 for Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation.
The theme for MinamiCon 32 is Shounen.
